Horse show photography is getting a little update at TKP—and I think it's going to make the experience better for everyone.

Moving forward, TKP horse show photography will be sign-up only.

Instead of photographing every rider, bringing home thousands of images, and hoping those photographs eventually find the people who want them, I'll be focusing my time and attention on the riders who have specifically asked me to be there.

That means when you're on my coverage list, I'm looking for you.

HOW HORSE SHOW SIGN-UPS WORK

If you'd like TKP to photograph you at an upcoming horse show, simply sign up before the event through the website or by messaging me directly.

I'll collect your information, send your contract and invoice, and add you to my coverage list once everything is completed.

THE MINIMUM PACKAGE — $100

Your minimum package includes:

• Guaranteed horse show photography coverage
• Your choice of 5 professionally edited high-resolution digital images
• Personal-use print release
• 10% off eligible print products through your TKP gallery

And if five images are all you want, that's completely fine. There is no requirement to purchase anything else.

ADD VIDEO TO YOUR COVERAGE

Video coverage is available for $45 per ride and must be requested when you sign up so I can plan my coverage accordingly.

1 Ride — $45

2 Rides — $90

3 Rides — $135

Each ride is filmed separately, so the $45 fee applies to each ride you'd like covered.

DON'T FORGET THE DEADLINE

Your Minimum Package and any requested video coverage must be paid by the night before the horse show to guarantee coverage.

NO PAYMENT = NO GUARANTEED PHOTOS.

Having my list finalized before the show means I know exactly which riders I'm watching for, which horses I need to recognize, and where I need to be.

You signed up because these photographs matter to you. I want to make sure I'm there to capture them.

WHY THE CHANGE?

Horse show photography involves a lot more than what you see ringside.

A single show can produce thousands of photographs that then have to be culled, sorted, edited, uploaded, stored, and managed.

Under the old system, I could spend countless hours working on photographs that nobody had actually requested.

I'd rather put those hours into you.

When you sign up, I know you want me there. I can focus on your rides, watch for the moments between them, and put my editing time into photographs I know actually matter to someone.

It's less about photographing everything and more about intentionally photographing your story.

PROTECTING TKP IMAGES

There's another important reason behind this change: protecting the artwork I create.

Your purchased TKP photographs are yours to download, print, display, and share personally under your print release.

However, TKP retains the copyright to the photographs, and images may not be altered, re-edited, have watermarks removed, or be uploaded to ChatGPT or other AI/generative editing platforms for modification, background replacement, generative fill, object removal, retouching, AI artwork, or creation of altered versions.

I spend a lot of time creating the finished photographs you receive, and I simply ask that the finished work I deliver remains the finished work I created.

AND HONESTLY? I WANT SOME OF MY TIME BACK.

I love this business.

I love photographing horses. I love standing ringside. And I love sending someone an image that instantly takes them back to a ride they'll never forget.

But I also want to make sure I'm giving the best parts of myself to the places that matter.

My clients. My family. My horses. And my creativity.

I don't want to spend countless hours editing photographs nobody asked me to take.

I'd rather spend that time creating something incredible for the people who did.

This new system means less unnecessary editing, better protection for my work, and more of my energy going directly toward the riders who choose TKP.

And hopefully, it means a little more time left for the people and horses waiting for me at home, too.
