I see Arkansas photographers, as well as out of state photographers searching for beautiful photography locations all the time. So, I’ve decided to tell you a few of my favorite hidden gems that I have visited, and these locations are tried and true. For those of you who are new here. Hey, I'm Tara I am a full time traveling equine photographer located in Cabot, Arkansas. Which means the majority of my work includes those four-legged fur babies, so finding a location that is safe and beautiful can be tricky, but I know several places perfect for portrait sessions and horse and rider sessions, so stay tuned!

Brownstone Ranch

VILONIA ARKANSAS

BROWNSTONE RANCH LOCATED IN VILONIA, ARKANSAS

Maybe I’m biased because I do board my horse Cash at this location, but I absolutely love it! Conveniently located 20 minutes outside of Cabot. Brownstone has a little bit of everything for photographers. I mean you're bound to find a great spot on 120 acres!

You know that feeling when you get to a location, and you just KNOW the session is going to be amazing? Well, that is my reaction every time someone wants to book a session at Brownstone Ranch! They have beautiful white fencing outlining the entire property and a big, gorgeous entry gate. The property has tons of rolling hills with big, dreamy trees you can use to block harsh sunlight, and there is also a really nice pond on the property for those who are looking for bodies of water as a backdrop in your images.

My favorite field is located on the back of the Brownstone property which has a clearing on the east side (for sunrise) and a clearing on the west side (for sunsets) making this location one of my top picks for golden hour shoots.

Address: 357 E St Highway 319 Vilonia, AR 72173

Camp Robinson

MAYFLOWER ARKANSAS

CAMP ROBINSON’S IN MAYFLOWER, ARKANSAS

This is a great location to explore. You can park off the main road and walk the road for a good spot to shoot, there's lots of backroads and horse trails located off the roads. Which make this a short walk if you park in the right area, or drive behind your clients (mine are usually on horses).

There are a couple of spots you can capture Arkansas mountain views..., are they just abnormally large hills? Probably, but they look like mountains to me!  Go after a good rain and you can get some very vibrant and moody shots with the fog and mist.

Address: Green Lake Rd, Mayflower, AR 72106

Collins Creek

HEBER SPRINGS ARKANSAS

COLLINS CREEK IN HEBER SPRINGS, ARKANSAS

A location for those magical images, this is the one! Lots of trees for (sun blocking) and a nice waterfall that your client can stand in the middle of. This allows you to get creative with posing and put them wherever you want them. There are lots of accessible areas at this location. These trails are a little on the tight side, probably not one I would bring horses along on.
